Texas Turkey Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices Mrs Baird’s® Sandwich White Bread
  • 1 poblano pepper
  • 1 can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • ½ pound carved turkey
  • 2 slices White Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn on stove to medium high and add the poblano pepper, skin side down. Cook until the skin chars and begins to loosen from the poblano, about 5-10 minutes. Add charred poblano to a plastic bag and seal, then allow to steam for another 10 minutes. When the poblanos has cooled, peel and discard the skin.
  2. Spread desired amount of cranberry sauce on one side of the bread. Layer turkey slices, charred poblano and cheese. Top with the remaining bread slice and enjoy!
